For a long time the Universe has been germinating in your spine”, says Sufi Mystic Hafez. Our body is not as old as we are, it is ancient. The lungs know how to breathe, the liver knows how to filter blood, the arms know how to catch a ball, heart knows how to feel, mind knows how to think. Life knows how to live, and how to die.

We have been re-educated by our psycho-physiological, repetitively adopted patterns and experienced traumas, often compulsively looking for happiness in all the wrong places. Even in our  our spiritual pursue we tend to idealize the spirit and hide the psyche (just like in an old Greek myth). We become trapped in our own survival and willfulness. Yet, the willfulness itself lies on  futility and fear of meeting our “soul”. Psychiatrist R.D.Lain says, “people are generally psycho-phobic, afraid of their souls becoming alive.”

“I AM” is a spiritual statement of our responsibility to manifest our particular quantum of the spirit within the resistant medium of our earthly lives. It may be wrong to copy or to pretend, yet the pressures to do so are great. To free ourselves from the depressing compulsion to be GOOD, we need strength and courage to seek our TRUTH.” ~Andrew Feldmár

Work ethics and Principles:

“When we honestly ask ourselves which persons in our lives mean the most to us, we often find that it is those who, instead of giving much advice, solutions, cures, have chosen rather to share our pain and touch our wounds with a gentle tender hand. The friend who can be silent with us in a moment of despair or confusion, who can stay with us in an hour of grief and bereavement, who can tolerate not knowing, not curing, not healing, and face with us the reality of our powerlessness; that is the friend who cares.”

~ Henry Nouwen

My approach is based on the initial training in Counselling, Psychodynamic Therapy and Perinatal Psychology. After years of practicing Yoga and Meditation, my therapy practice has been grounded in the body ( soma) and the teaching of Dharma, guided by the principle of Kalyanna Mitta  which means a “Noble” friend.Shared space and the relationship of Kalyana Mitta  is built by cultivating respect and, consequently, safety, security and trust, without domination or submission.

Just like in the body  movement,“what we consistently repeat, becomes our pattern”, in this case, authentic, caring presence “with” one-other rather than presence “over” each-other  is itself the environment that cultivates  freedom of choice and  empowers emancipation (Etymology: verb eman·ci·pate \i-ˈman(t)-sə-ˌpāt\. : to free (someone) from some one/control or power over).

In Tibetan Yoga and Dharma terms, the “Wisdom” that we aspire to in our practice is considered the Feminine principle, which is non-doing, present, being, holding, not afraid of not knowing, not curing, not rushing, space, just like the quote above by Henry Nouwen. That is the presence of Kalyana Mitta. The Masculine principle, associated with right effort and “doing” is compassion (BoddhichitaSanskrit बोधिचित्त), an equanimity. However, one without the other is incomplete.

Wisdom without compassion is arrogance. Compassion without wisdom is ignorance.
